All we do is talk to people and have amazing conversations about health, agriculture, and of course, food! Management is friendly and understanding and is willing to work with you and teach you the ins and outs of sales. For someone who uses scallions like in oh… every other dish she makes, it was like Christmas and my birthday in one! Wait a minute… then I’d be Joe because his birthday IS actually on Christmas!Īnd then I couldn’t resist but take one last family portrait of all of the colorful goodies together.Īnd I am happy to report that not one thing in that box went to waste. ![]() Of course some of it were the basics… leafy green lettuce, a beautiful head of cabbage, crisp apples and sweet oranges…Īnd some of it was unexpected, such as ruby red swiss chard, leafy spinach and elegant looking asparagus. One by one, I pulled out the larger items, and then I couldn’t believe how much stuff was packed in there. I even put my coffee drinking on pause to whip out all of the contents from the cardboard casing. I truly clapped my hands and hopped like a bunny in excitement when we woke up to see this friendly looking box at our door. So if you’re not down for all that, I getcha. Whatever is growing on the farm, is what you’re gonna eat. The tricky part is that you don’t know what you’ll get, because you’ll get whatever they give you. ![]() It’s basically super fresh organic produce from local farms. This whole farm box thing is all part of community supported agriculture, so you’ll often hear it referred to as a “CSA box” for short. And you know what? She’s right, because at least I would be someone who would blog about it! ![]() My friend Janice had an extra account left with them, and forwarded it to me! She claimed that I’d make better use out of it than she could, and was happy to have them send me this gorgeous bursting box of seasonal surprise goodies. But in the case that you don’t, you can always order a surprise box of goodies from Farm Fresh To You. I currently live within walking distance to a Farmer’s Market that they set up every Saturday.
